All app data is stored locally on your device and never leaves your device. This includes:
- App and category selections for blocking
- PIN codes (stored locally in encrypted device storage)
- Security settings preferences
Screen Time Access
The app uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls framework) to block apps. This requires your authorization to access Screen Time features on the device. This data is:
- Processed entirely on-device
- Never sent to external servers
- Never shared with third parties
Third-Party Services
Kids Screen Block does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Children's Privacy
This app is designed to be installed on a child's device and controlled by a parent. The app:
- Does not collect any personal information from children
- Does not require account creation
- Does not connect to the internet for app functionality
Data Security
- PIN codes are stored securely using iOS device storage
- Face ID/Touch ID authentication is handled entirely by Apple's secure enclave
- No data is transmitted over the internet
Your Rights
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over your data. You can:
- Delete the app to remove all associated data
- Reset app settings within the app
